Bioen d.o.o. Group is a cleantech company for waste treatment and renewable energy, known for its customer-oriented service and high-quality, profitable solutions.
Our biogas plants converts organic waste into income by producing renewable energy and organic fertilizer cost-effectively. Produced biogas can be utilized for electricity and heat production. Biogas can be also upgraded to biomethane that can be used as vehicle fuel or fed into the natural gas grid as a substitute for fossil gas.

We use natural resources, clean technologies and focus on the reduction of environmental impact. Responsible environmental behavior is the most important part of developing our long-term goals.
Bio-energy production
Our goal is to increase production of electricity from renewable, natural sources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in aligment with the Energy Strategy of the Republic of Croatia. Other basic objectives are to ensure sales growth to establish a position in the market to constantly develop products and technological processes and to follow the new trends in this area.
Producing Biogas
Biogas is a gas mixture that occurs when organic waste rots in oxygen-free environment (anaerobic digestion). Depending on the feedstock material, biogas is 50-70 % methane with excellent fuel properties. One cubic meter of methane is equivalent to one liter of diesel fuel, and requires about 7 kg of biowaste, for example. The rest of the gas mixture is mainly carbon dioxide.
